A Day with Hegersport at Circuit Zandvoort, Track, Trust, and a Whole Lot of Porsche

Some days you just have to go. When I heard Hegersport was running a full Porsche track day at Circuit Zandvoort, the choice made itself. Camera packed, scale models in the bag, on the road early.

The whole day was Porsche. GT3 RS, Turbo, every flavour of flat six engine working hard through the dunes of Zandvoort. The kind of soundtrack that stays in your ears long after the cars have cooled down. And from the moment I arrived, the team at Hegersport gave me complete freedom to capture it all, from pit lane to paddock, from the corner exits to the quiet moments between sessions.

Then came something I genuinely didn’t see coming. I was invited to join the official photographer on track to help shoot the community photo of the day. Standing trackside with a camera in hand, surrounded by Porsches and the people who love them, was one of those moments where you remind yourself how lucky you are to do this. Pure photographer’s joy.

Lunch turned into another small celebration. With the cars parked and the engines resting, I was given all the time and space I needed to bring out my scale models and shoot them alongside the real thing. Different generations, different scales, same passion. Series after series came together, each one a little tribute to the day.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Hegersport for the warmth, the trust, and the access throughout the day. What started as me simply showing up turned into one of the most memorable shoots of the year. The full photo series will land on the site over the coming weeks.
