On the way home from Stuttgart, one address was impossible to skip.
Mechatronik in Pleidelsheim is known among enthusiasts as one of the finest classi
c car specialists in Germany, a place where restoration reaches the level of art and the price tags follow accordingly. I knew a Porsche 934 lived there, and that was reason enough for a detour.
The visit was short, but the 934 delivered. Wide arches, deep splitter, the unapologetic stance of a Group 4 homologation racer. Even standing still in a showroom, a 934 radiates the intent it was built with. A few frames, a quiet moment with one of the rarest racing 911s ever made, and back on the road.
Short stops can leave long impressions.
