Classic GP at the TT Circuit Assen had exactly the kind of atmosphere I love. Real race cars, noise in the background, people moving everywhere, and Porsches getting ready before the action starts. That is a very good recipe for photography.

I spent time around several Porsches before the race, looking for the kind of moment where the car, the setting and the model all lock together. One of the combinations I liked most was an Atlas 1:43 model paired with a Porsche 964 RS. The shape of the 964 always works, especially in a racing environment where it feels completely at home.
Events like this are different from museum visits or dealer shoots. Everything is more alive. Less polished, more raw. That gives the photos a different energy, even when you are working carefully with a small model in the foreground.
Assen gave me exactly that. A bit of noise, a bit of chaos, and a lot of Porsche character.
