Through a few people we knew, we heard that the GT3 Porsche Club Nederland tour would be passing somewhere nearby. The only issue was that we did not know exactly where. So I gathered a bunch of GT3 models from my collection and hoped for the best. Solid plan. Slightly chaotic. Very on brand.
In the end, we managed to find the tour and start shooting. The owners liked seeing me photograph the cars with model versions, which always helps. Still, we were eventually told to move along, which was a bit frustrating. That said, by then I had already managed to get some shots I was really happy with. One of my favorites was with a Minichamps 1:43 GT4.
That is sometimes how these things go. A little searching, a little luck, a little being sent away, and somewhere in the middle of all that, a photo worth keeping.
Not every Porsche shoot is smooth. Some are better because they are not.
