Autosalon van het Noorden in Groningen had plenty of cars, plenty of Porsche metal, and one small problem for a photographer: the light was pretty dark. I took a lot of photos, but only a few were strong enough to earn a place in my Gallery.
One shot did make it through, and it is still one of my favorites. It was an orange GT3 RS with the light falling exactly right across the bodywork. For one second, everything lined up. The paint, the angle, the reflections. That was the shot.
I also tried a few photos with a Spyder and a 1:64 model, but those turned into a bit of a color explosion. Fun to try, not quite gallery material. That is part of the game too. Sometimes you come home with a full memory card and only one image that really works.
Still, one perfect Porsche photo is enough to make the whole trip worth it.
