The road home from Stuttgart had one more surprise in store.
Passing the Nürburgring, we arrived in the middle of a 12 hour race. For a Porsche photographer that means one thing: head for the pit lane. I was able to witness a pit stop up close, with a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup and a GT3 R in action. The choreography of a racing pit stop is something photos barely do justice. Tires, fuel, hand signals, seconds. And then the flat six screams back out onto the most legendary track in the worl
d.

Just around the corner from the circuit sits Manthey Racing, the team behind Porsche’s greatest Nürburgring victories and the wizards responsible for the Manthey kit that turns GT3s into ring weapons. I grabbed a quick photo at their home base. It felt like a first handshake rather than a full visit. This is a place that deserves time, and I hope to come back for the photos it truly deserves.
The Nürburgring has a way of pulling you in. Consider this a promise to return.
